So I now have a blogger

Well, I guess this is where I start. My name is Eduard Anthony Fagundes Maduro. I've at times been referred to by my nickname, Luso. I live a rather simple and undisturbed life here on this island in the middle of the Atlantic known as Terceira Island. It is part of the Azores Islands, a Portuguese territory. I am almost 5 years into a career as a computer programmer. My travels to this point have included the US, Canada and Portugal. In those 3 countries, I have moved quite a bit, 15 times to be exact. 15 times in 29 years. That number will be 16 next year as I head into a new chapter in my life.....marriage. I am currently engaged to an absolutely fantatic american named Liz. We met when I was living in Nebraska and we simply never disconnected since. We've had our on and off moments, but we never seemed to forget each other. Up until I met her, I sincerely thought that true love was a myth and that I would never find such a creature. How things change. There simply isn't a day that doesn't pass when I don't think of her. Right now, she is stationed in Iraq and there isn't a moment in my day when I don't worry about her. I've spent many sleepless nights worrying about her, hoping and praying that February comes, she leaves that godforsaken hellhole and we can be together again. Last summer, we met once again, this time on this island, and I could not let the opportunity slip away again. I proposed and she accepted :) We are planning on being engaged for about 2 years tops, and get married here in the Azores (she really fell in love with the island and the surroundings). She has been so cooperative it's that it's nearly mythical. She wants me to finish my BSc (something that has been nagging me for some time) and is even willing to move to Portugal. I have truly found something special and really do not want to lose it in any way shape or form. Well, I guess that'll do it for now. I dunno how many people actually read these things. I guess it's a nice little diary. Stay safe kids, Luso
